Early in the morning, I'm here at Starbucks (Matalino) for some nice and heavy cramming for econometrics exam. Beside our table is a group of Korean people talking about something I cannot understand for they are speaking in their language. Now, it made me miss and want to travel to foreign land!
Practically no other visible group is present here, so hearing them made me remember about that Vietnam trip. Quite a memorable one, my first trip abroad alone (though with someone waiting for me in that foreign land). Most of the time there, I was alone, walking around alone, and a few encounters with the locals.
It was a nice feeling - that kind of a welcome feeling. Enriching, even if I could have done more. Interestingly, my graduate school experience has not only given me a better understanding of economics, but also an appreciation of history, culture and the idiosyncrasies of a people. I want to experience another foreign trip with that kind of enrichment.
I wish to travel soon, here or abroad, and I wish to have that money to finance this pleasure *wink*. I miss travelling and going out!
